On December 12th, the signing ceremony for the "Phase II Development of Long Term Energy Storage Flow Battery" project, which was jointly developed by Zhonghe Energy Storage and Professor Liu Suqin's team at Central South University, was held at the university. Professor Liu Suqin and key members of his research team from Central South University, as well as leaders such as Kang Zhiwei, General Manager of Energy Storage, Dr. Xie Wei, Chief Scientist, and Yuan Hao, Vice President of Research and Development, attended the signing ceremony together.

As one of the earliest experts engaged in research in the field of all vanadium flow batteries in China, Professor Liu Suqin from Central South University has undertaken the National Major Basic Research Project 973 in the field of flow batteries, achieving significant breakthroughs in scientific research, technological breakthroughs, and industrialization. Zhonghe Energy Storage is a leading global manufacturer of key materials and energy storage equipment for liquid flow batteries. Based on the research and development, manufacturing, and application of long-term energy storage technology for liquid flow batteries, the company aims to solve the industry pain point of high initial installation costs for liquid flow batteries by developing low-cost and high-performance revolutionary key materials, making it a long-term, low-cost, and safer large-scale energy storage technology, and quickly achieving industrialization and landing.

In 2021, Zhonghe Energy Storage and Professor Liu's team from Central South University signed the first collaborative project "Development of Long Term Energy Storage Flow Battery". After more than two years of cooperation, the research and industrialization of the first phase of the project has progressed smoothly. Based on the nearly 20 years of experience accumulated by Dr. Xie Wei, the chief scientist of Zhonghe Energy Storage, in the American liquid flow battery industry, and in collaboration with Professor Liu Suqin, we have developed new materials with better performance and lower cost, including loaded catalyst electrodes, non fluorine ion exchange membranes, new sulfur iron electrolytes, etc. These key material products will gradually be mass-produced and pushed to the market.

This time, Zhonghe Energy Storage has signed a cooperation agreement with Professor Liu's team at Central South University for the "Phase II Development of Long Term Energy Storage Fluid Flow Batteries" project, with the goal of targeting the first national set in the energy field, focusing on new energy storage using fluid flow batteries, creating leading advantages, and achieving major technological breakthroughs.

Innovate long-term energy storage, focus on energy security, and work with Professor Liu Suqin's team at Central South University to further upgrade energy storage. The future is promising!
